The game

Take over your master's shop

A tiny trading-card shop at the quiet end of a Japanese shopping arcade. Its owner — your master — has passed away, and now the shop is yours. His handwritten price tags are still on the shelves. And 2,500 cards are scattered across the floor. Tidy up first. Everything else can wait.

"Where?" and "How much?"

Pick up a card and look closely. Which game, which set? First printing or reprint (same art, wildly different price)? Foil? Damaged? Does your master's tag still match today's market? Not sure — look it up on the shop's price-check PC. Lookups aren't free, though.

Open the shop, get your answer

When the floor is clear, flip the sign to OPEN. Underpriced rares get snapped up by sharks, overpriced shelves get ignored, and only fairly priced cards sell. A card-by-card report tells you exactly why you scored what you scored — so tomorrow you'll be sharper.

What kind of game is this?

  • First-person, single-player. No timer, no game over
  • Day one alone takes 3–7 hours (longer if you inspect every card). Save any time
  • The price-check PC, the sample binder and your master's notebook slowly train your eye — nothing ever does the work for you
  • There is no skill that shows you the price. Appraising is your job
  • Japanese and English interface
